Sports Medicine Acupuncture combines modern Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy, and Chinese Medicine techniques into one comprehensive treatment custom tailored to suit each individuals needs. You do NOT need to be an athlete to benefit from this comprehensive approach to the treatment of chronic or acute pain.


Massage Therapy - Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a style of massage that focuses on stretching and lengthening tight sheets of fascia within and surrounding the muscles and connective tissue to help permanently remove knots and tension from the body. It is more oriented towards treating injuries than traditional massage and complements our treatment approach with Sports Medicine Acupuncture.

Uzi Chen is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) and a Licensed Acupuncturist who is Certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture® (C.SMA). Uzi is the father of 4 and he is originally from Israel. He is a teacher at the local acupuncture college where he teaches Treatment of Orthopedic Disorders, as well as training aspiring new acupuncturists. Uzi has been assisting in the Sports Medicine Acupuncture Certification seminar series for nearly a decade under the tutelage of Matt callison.

Sean Davis is a Licensed Acupuncturist who is Certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture® (C.SMA) and a Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner (C.KTP). Sean discovered Sports Medicine Acupuncture over 20 years ago as an undergrad at UCSD and has pursued this specialty since he began his acupuncture journey in 2007. Over 15 years ago, Hollee made the switch from working as an EMT and ER nursing assistant to holistic healthcare when she began her massage program at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. Hollee specializes in Structural Integration, which is a style of Myofascial Release massage that focuses on restoring healthy movement by mobilizing fascial planes across the body to repair the damage caused by chronic injuries and poor posture. She has been a traveling massage therapist with a competitive cycling team, and she has worked with MMA fighters, professional baseball players, and triathletes.
